Thanks to the hard work, time, and donations
by many, the ARK now has a shelter.
We are very proud of it -- especially after
operating for a over a decade without one!

Inside, we have cage and kennel areas for
ARK cats and dogs waiting for a new home.

Next, visit our grooming area, where we
take care of the animals
that need a little help getting cleaned
up to look and feel their best.

ARK felines who do not need a cage (very
few do) enjoy spending
time in the spacious cat and kitten rooms.
This also teaches
ARK cats and kittens about the fun and safety
of living indoors.

.
| The cat room also has comfy window ledges
and when these windows are opened, they provide the doorway to the "catio,"
a shaded, completely enclosed screened patio. This allows the cats
to get some fresh air in a completely protected environment. This
gives our more mature cats extra activity.
Some of the mature cats end up living at the ARK a long time before someone adopts them. But mature cats and dogs make great pets! To learn more about mature pets and their benefits, visit this page for great info! |
| Of course, all of
this takes time from volunteers and money from generous donors.
We always need more help with the daily chores of caring for the animals in our care. Dogs need to be walked, kennels cleaned, water changed, kitty litter boxes scooped, hugs and pats given, and of course, everyone needs to be fed! If you can help in any way, please contact the ARK. Your help is vital to us so that we can continue to help animals. If you have questions about how the ARK spends its donations, feel free to call or come by. We will be glad to talk about our financial records. PLEASE take time to come and visit the ARK and meet our furry friends on board. It is a fun place to visit and to shop! You will be so proud of the no-kill shelter you helped us build! |
