ARK PET REFERRAL SERVICE DOGS and PUPPIES
CITIZENS ASSISTANCE SERVICE
Updated March 10, 2008
.

Individuals listed below have contacted the ARK for  help placing dogs or puppies they have found or that they can no longer keep.  The ARK accepts no responsibility for the health or temperament of any animals on this list.  The ARK maintains and makes this list available as a service to citizens as an alternative to turning these animals in to an animal shelter.  The ARK is not responsible in any manner for any animals on this listing. The ARK has established no fees for this service.  The monthly grouping is just for our recordkeeping, so don't hesitate to call about a pet, no matter what month it appears under.  Look through the listings!  You'll be surprised at all of the great pets listed!

If you have asked the ARK to place animals on this list, please let us know when they are adopted out so that we can keep our list up-to-date. If you contact someone on the list and they no longer have the pets available, please let us know that, as well. We want to do our best to help find homes for these animals!  You will be amazed at all of the beautiful, loving, animals that people are willing to give away.

The dogs listed on the ARK Pet Referral are not the responsibility of the ARK.   Dogs listed are presently living with their families.  For whatever reason these families can no longer keep their dog.  The Pet Referral is a free service the ARK provides to help these families find their dogs a new loving home.    The responsibility of  finding a new home is up to the family of the dog you are interested in.  The ARK accepts no responsibility for the health or temperament of any dogs listed on our Pet Referral.  The telephone number listed is the number of the dog owner.  It is the responsibility of the owner and interested party of the dog to decide on placement of the dog.  In addition, it is the responsibility of the owner to be truthful with any individual interested in their family dog as to the temperament and health of said dog.   The owner of any dog listed on the ARK Pet Referral should notify the ARK when the dog has been placed in a new home.  Any dog listed 30 days or more will be considered placed into a new home and will be removed from the ARK Pet Referral.

*NOTE:  All telephone numbers have a (256) area code unless noted.  The ARK makes an effort to maintain and keep the Pet Referral List up to date.  However, we depend on the individuals trying to place  animals  to notify the Ark when the animal has found a new home.  Upon notification  The ARK will remove the animals from the Pet Referral List.  Animals that have been on the Pet Referral List 3 months or longer will be removed if the ARK cannot make contact with the owner of the animals. If you adopt a Referral List pet, please let us know! We will be glad to hear that a pet has found a new home, and will remove them from the list to keep it up-to-date.
